Judith Wong, MD, MPH
Dr. Wong was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated summa cum laude with a dual degree in chemistry and music from the University of Southern California. She attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
She then completed her neurosurgical training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. It was during this time that Dr. Wong obtained her Masters in Public Health degree at the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
She is passionate about surgical quality and safety, particularly as it pertains to neurosurgery, and has worked with such leaders as Atul Gawande to advance the field. She has published multiple papers on the subject and continues such work currently.
Dr. Wong is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons. Within neurosurgery, she is interested in pediatric neurosurgery, oncological neurosurgery, skull base surgery, congenital malformations, the treatment and management of cerebral vascular malformations, epilepsy surgery, and spine surgery.
